I am so grateful you all made a terrible time easier to handle.”

“How do you thank a guardian angel - one who is strong, kind, patient and compassionate, at a time when a family is shaken, weak, and does not know the way. Like a gentle father you listened, encouraged, and with unconditional love, made the crooked way straight - make the pieces of the quilt form a magnificent life's moment for all. Your professionalism is of Divine intervention. Every detail of the calling hours, service and military service was dealt with grace and dignity.... I don't know how you and your staff do what you do - but families you serve thank God that you do.”

Kathleen Kelly

The family of Douglas and Marjorie MacDonald

“Dear Miles Staff, I wish to thank you and your staff for your professionalism and compassion which you shared with our family as we mourned the death of my sister, Janice. When my sister died early Sunday morning, the hospice nurse contacted Miles Funeral Home. Two of your funeral directors arrived at Jim and Jans home in Holden. Their professionalism, care, respect, and compassion for Jim and the family was comforting. Their care and manner in which they removed Jans body from the home was respectful and with dignity. The respect these two gentlemen gave to the family and my sister was outstanding. Prior to leaving the home, they made sure Jim and the family were okay and if they had any questions. They also covered Jans body with a beautiful and colorful quilt. What a sign of respect for the deceased and a comfort for the family. Richard, know that I am grateful for the care and compassion you shared with Jim and the family during this time of mourning. Whether it was the time spent with the family to plan the funeral, Mass, and funeral details to the smallest of details of care, you and your staff provided a ministry to Jim and the family. It was an honor to minister with you and your staff as we mourned the death of my sister Janice. May and your staff continued to provide the compassionate and caring ministry to those who have lost a loved one. I have been a Franciscan and Roman Catholic priest for over 30 years and I have found the care of your staff to be remarkable. I thank you!”

Father Tom Bourque, TOR

“On behalf of my family, I would like to express our sincere gratitude and thanks for everything that was done for my family this past week. Many of you know of the friendship I share with Rick, as often as I stop in to distract him, though few might realize my family has benefited by the services of Miles for over 100 years. As many times I have visited the funeral home this was the first time I experienced the process first hand. I appreciate the detailed planning that goes on by those of you whom I didn't meet and to those my mom and I met, I can't express how comfortable you made us feel. To all of you a special thanks. What I witnessed last week was truly a portrait of professionalism.”

Brian P. Foley

“My mother had her funeral at Miles. We are Jewish, and Rick Mansfield and staff gave her a Celebration of Life funeral, hired the Rabbi, everything. They were with us all the way, and took care of even the smallest details. The beautiful and peaceful atmosphere at Miles added to the respect that was shown with my mother's funeral. I have been there for funerals of other faiths, and it was just as lovely. If you want the best of the best, it is Miles Funeral Home.”

William S. Safer

“My beloved mom & dad both passed in 2010 exactly 3 months apart, mom, April 15th at age 99, and dad, July 16th at age 92. I don't know what I would have done without the extremely caring, professional and knowledgeable assistance of Rick and Beverly Mansfield and their attentive staff. They handled everything right to the letter right to my dad's Military Honors. I highly recommend Miles Funeral Directors.”

Donmarie Desrosiers

“My dad, brother and most recently my mom have all been buried from Miles. The staff were caring, professional and accommodating. Rick and the entire team were wonderful to work with. I think of them more as friends than a business. Thank you for making a difficult time more bearable.”
