Lillian M. (Hickson) Wright

HUBBARDSTON – Lillian M. (Hickson) Wright, 92, passed away on Sunday, December 23, 2012 at UMass Memorial Hospital, Worcester, after a brief illness.
Her husband of 35 years, Robert C. Wright, passed away in 2006 and her first husband of 30 years, Bertil G. Buthen, Sr., passed away in 1970. She leaves a daughter, Barbara A. Belisle of Rutland; two sons, Bertil G. Buthen, Jr. of Reno, NV and Robert G. Buthen of Vero Beach, FL; a step-son, Robert G. Wright of S. Orleans; many loving daughters-in-law; a sister, Olive (Sue) Johnson of Lehigh Acres, FL; 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.
Lillian was born in Leicester, the daughter of Thomas and Alice (Niford) Hickson and was proud to be one of thirteen children. She was a supervisor at Astra Pharmaceutical in Worcester for many years before retiring to Port Richey, FL. She was a life member of the Greendale American Legion Women’s Auxiliary, the Disabled American Veterans, The Worcester Club of Cape Cod, an active member of the Hubbardston Senior Center and a regular at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Bingo.
A graveside service will be held at noon, Saturday, April 20, 2013, at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to NEADS, Canines for Combat Veterans, www.neads.org/CCV , P.O. Box 213, West Boylston, MA 01583.
