    Goldie (Namath) Kennis

    July 31, 1925 - November 23, 2021

    The Funeral Service for Goldie Kennis will be livestreamed on Friday, November 25, 2021 at 11:00am via the following link: https://emanuelsinai.org/live-streams/. WORCESTER - Goldie (Namath) Kennis, age 96, died peacefully on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at the Jewish Healthcare Center. Born in Worcester, Goldie was the daughter of Israel and Rose (Skiest) Namath, and was a lifelong resident of the city. She graduated from Commerce High School and pursued a career as a Medical Secretary, working for Dr. Francis Dufault for 25 years, and later for Dr. Gagne for 12 years. Goldie will be lovingly missed and remembered by her devoted son Glenn Kennis and his wife, Susan of Worcester; her grandchildren who she absolutely loved, Mathew Kennis and Michelle Bopp (and her eyes lit up every time they visited her); her great-grandchildren who she adored, Jackson Kennis, Avery Kennis, Hunter Bopp and Travis Bopp. She was predeceased by her husband, William Kennis in 2011, her daughter, Ellen Dvir Kennis in 2002, and her brother, Norman Namath in 2013. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 26 at 11:00am at Temple Emanuel Sinai, 661 Salisbury Street, Worcester. Due to current COVID conditions, Temple policy indicates that all those in attendance in the Temple building must provide proof of vaccination and wear masks. Burial will follow at B’nai Brith Cemetery, 55 St. John’s Road in Worcester. Memorial Observance will be private. Arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home of Holden. Goldie’s family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the entire staff at the Jewish Healthcare Center for their loving care and compassionate dedication. We will miss you greatly. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Jewish Healthcare Center, 629 Salisbury Street Worcester, MA 01609.
