RUTLAND – Nathaniel "Nate" Alan Williams, 27, of 3 Blueberry Lane, beloved son, brother, uncle and friend, died Saturday, October 11, 2008 in the Bay State Franklin Medical Center, Greenfield.
"Nate to one and all" loved the outdoors. He was an avid hiker of the trail, and fly fisherman with a vast knowledge of birds, butterflies and other wildlife. Nate loved to play guitar and had a genius for composing his own songs and performing them for family and friends. His friends and family were the love of his life.
He leaves his parents, David A. and Susan M. (Borko) Williams with whom he lived; a brother, Toby Williams of Shelburne Falls; two sisters, Heather B. Kimball and her husband Greg of Millbury and Holly J. Williams of Framingham; his maternal grandmother, Helen R. (Stomski) Borko of Shrewsbury; an aunt, Carol A. Borko of Shrewsbury; and two nieces, Lily and Ally Kimball. He was a 1998 graduate of Wachusett Regional High School and attended Worcester State College.
Nate always enjoyed the Red Sox, Patriots and Celtics and loved watching games with his family and friends. He had a great interest in and loved to read classic literature and enjoyed playing classic games including chess and marbles. He always got tremendous pleasure from playing with and reading to his nieces. He will be forever in our hearts, in the stars that twinkle at night, and the butterflies that fly by day.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 16th, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. The funeral service for Nate will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 17th, in the funeral home with long time family friend, The Rev. Dr. Kenneth Swenson officiating. Burial following in Rural Cemetery, Main Street, Rutland. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Massachusetts Audubon Society, 208 South Great Road, Lincoln, MA 01773.
