STERLING – Patricia A. (Korp) Booth, 82, beloved wife of the late Terrance B. Booth, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at St. Vincent Hospital. Born in Worcester and raised in Auburn, she was a daughter of the late William Korp and Estelle (Bielack) Korp- Monroe. Patricia was a graduate of Auburn High School. She enjoyed a long bookkeeping career, having worked for Worcester Fitness for 16 years and the former Northworks Restaurant for 9 years. Patricia was a member of St. Richard of Chichester Church and the Sterling Senior Center. She enjoyed volunteering her time at the Sterling Senior Center, the Tower Hill Botanic Garden, and at the Sterling Recreation Committee. Patricia was the closest thing to an angel here on Earth. Her door was always open, her hands were always busy, and her heart was always giving to others. Her smile and happiness could fill a room. She instilled faith in all her children and grandchildren and everyone around her that there is good in the world, faith that love can get you through anything, faith that if you work hard enough you can achieve what you thought you couldn’t. “Go for it!” was one of her favorite sayings. Faith in the Lord and prayer was part of her daily life. She was the strength and the backbone of her family. She put everyone around her first, and loved to sit and talk with friends and family about what is happening in their lives. Sitting and talking with Pat felt timeless, conversations and laughter could extend for hours. She enjoyed the simple things in life, like sitting in her back yard by her pool, watering her flowers and singing with the birds, and going to the beach. She loved hosting gatherings and making her potato salad for others to enjoy. But what filled her most was spending time with her family. Family was her heartbeat, and she cherished every minute together. She will be lovingly missed and remembered by her five children, Michael Booth and his wife, Lisa of Lunenburg, James Booth of Leominster, Karen Hookailo of Sterling, Kathryn Cote and her husband, Ronald of Sterling and Deborah Carney of Holden; her two sisters, Ethel Cote of Leominster and Susan Ozcan of Chesapeake, VA; her eight grandchildren, Danielle and Nicole Cote, Daniel and Sarah Hookailo, Derek and Jason Booth and Ryan and Jacob Carney; and her great-granddaughter, Lyla Wiseman. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was predeceased by her three brothers, Charles Korp, Dennis Monroe and Paul Monroe. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, June 21 in the Miles-Sterling Funeral Home and Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Road, Sterling. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 22 in St. Richard of Chichester Church, 4 Bridge Street, Sterling. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Sterling where she will be laid to rest beside her husband. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Pulmonary Hypertension Association, 801 Roeder Road, Suite 1000, Silver Spring, MD, 20910.
