Biography
HOLDEN – Robert Paul Drolet, 76, of Holden, passed away at home on Sunday, January 13, 2013. Born and raised in Worcester, he was the son of N. Edward and Doris (Seibold) Drolet.

Robert was a graduate of Saint John’s High School on Temple Street in Worcester and Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston where he majored in Aeromechanics. He was a senior sales representative at Lewis Boyle Corporation, now Hyster of New England. Previously, he worked in the family business, Drolet’s Service station in Worcester and co-owned Delcon Corporation with his friend and partner John Dowling.

He leaves his wife of 55 years, Sheila M. (Leary) Drolet; two daughters, Margaret Daniels, married to John living in Worcester and Kathryn Sloan married to Anthony living in Rutland; a son, John Drolet married to Kelly living in East Greenwich, RI; a sister, Nancy Kane married to Kevin living in North Chelmsford; a brother, James Drolet living in Worcester; 11 grandchildren, Elizabeth, John, Julie, Thomas, Jacqueline, Kristina, Owen, Jack, Kassandra, Karissa and Nathan; 3 great-grandchildren, Brooke, Jaxson and Lena; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.

He had a love for old cars and enjoyed restoring antique cars and attending car shows.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 16, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. The funeral will be held on Thursday, January 17, from the funeral home with an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. George’s Church, 38 Brattle St., Worcester. Burial will be private in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester.
