BARRE- A. Newell Felton, 70, and formerly of Fryeburg, ME, died peacefully on Sunday, June 22, 2014 at the Saint Vincent Hospital, Worcester, following a brief illness.

Newell had many hobbies, including skiing and racing at Cranmore Mountain in New Hampshire, and was an accomplished cook. His love of cooking was always evident at family gatherings, where he was either in the kitchen or at the grill. “He could make anything taste great!” He also spent many years square dancing. Newell was a dedicated family man who truly enjoyed the time he spent with his grandchildren, including their annual outing to the Rutland Sportsmen’s Club game dinner. He especially will be remembered for his quick wit and ability to come up with a comment about anything that was being discussed.
