WEST BOYLSTON – Josephine A. (Solitro) Lovell, 85, of North Main St., died in her home on Tuesday, March 24, 2009 surrounded by her loving family.
She leaves her husband of 63 years, Frank F. Lovell; a son, Frank D. Lovell and his wife Colleen of Littleton; a daughter, Kathleen A. Aho and her husband William of Rutland; a brother, Matthew Solitro of West Boylston; five grandchildren, Donald, Jesse, Kristopher and Tad Jaillet and Regina Lovell; seven great-grandchildren, Jacob, Tyler, Casey, Ceira, Austin, Todd and Tiffany; nephews and nieces. Her daughter, Patricia Stearns died in 1973. Two brothers, Michael and Vito Solitro, and a sister, Mary Allen, predeceased her. She was born in Worcester the daughter of Anthony and Lena (Micelli) Solitro and lived most of her life in West Boylston.
Mrs. Lovell worked at Nypro Inc. in Clinton as a supervisor. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, woodworking, painting, photography, and working in her flower garden. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, March 27th at the Miles-Sterling Funeral Home, 100 Worcester Road, (Rt.12), Sterling. The funeral service for Mrs. Lovell will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery, 32 Church Street, West Boylston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the UMass Memorial Hospice, 650 Lincoln Street, Worcester, MA 01605.
