RUTLAND/GARDNER – Andrew “Andy” M. Hayden, 42, a longtime Rutland resident, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Gardner on Tuesday, April 9, 2019. Andy was the son of Constance A. (Packard) Hayden and the late Michael A. Hayden who passed away in 2012.
He attended Wachusett Regional High School where he was a popular student who excelled in soccer and running track. He had a passion for Jeeps and would spend countless hours restoring them with his grandfather. Each year he would look forward to the Rutland Fourth of July celebrations and spending time with his family. Those who knew Andy best will remember him as a compassionate person who was content with his life.
Andy will be lovingly missed and remembered by his mother, Constance A. Hayden of Worcester; his sister, Shannon M. Johnson and her husband, Robert of Holden; and his two nieces, Allison and Kaitlyn Johnson of Holden.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather with Andy’s family from 10 to 11 am on Saturday, April 13 followed by a funeral service at 11 am in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. Burial will follow at Rural Cemetery, 142 Main Street, Rutland.
