Arthur R. Albanese

November 27, 1941 — May 3, 2026

PLYMOUTH - Arthur Raymond Albanese, 84, of Plymouth, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2026. Arthur was born in Brooklyn, NY, the son of the late Arthur and Connie Albanese. He grew up in the New York/Jersey area and moved to the north shore of Massachusetts in high school. He was a loving husband to Jean Leslie Albanese for 59 years before we lost her in August 2025.

Arthur graduated from Northeastern University with a degree in Industrial Engineering, and after working in industry for a few years, found his calling as a high school math teacher in Quincy for 30 years. He was a beloved teacher known to his students as Mr. A. Giving everyone his time and attention, his sincere concern for his students' wellbeing, tempered with humor and genuine words, was always on display. Known as an earnest, good man ready to help anyone, Arthur was industrious and spent time in his shop crafting doll houses, wooden puzzles, and keepsakes. He was attentive to his children, always there to help face the challenges of life and take them on new adventures. He loved Jean and made her happy.

In his last years he was attended to by the amazing staff at Sterling Village that helped his family keep him comfortable, cared for, and loved.

Arthur leaves behind his daughter Christene Albanese Binger and her fiancé Walter Bowles, both of Sterling, MA, and his daughter Jennifer Ann Albanese of Florida; his sister-in-law Ann Schofield; his niece Amy Schofield and her wife Erin Kelley, and dear cousins.
