STERLING/WORCESTER – Arthur X. Boucher, Jr., 94, passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2013 at Clinton Hospital after an illness.
His wife of 63 years, Marguerite E. (Moreau) Boucher passed away in 2005. He leaves two sons, Walter J. Boucher and his wife Rose of Worcester and Frank J. Boucher and his wife Susan of Sterling; two grandchildren, Mark Boucher and Lisa Carrier; three great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Jadon and Emmilyn.
Arthur was born in Keene, NH, the son of Arthur X., Sr. and Daisy (Myers) Boucher and had lived in Worcester before moving to Sterling. He was an Army veteran of World War II serving with the 98th Quartermaster Company. Arthur was a truck driver for many years with several local companies in Worcester County and he was a member of the Hiram O. Taylor American Legion Post 189 in Sterling.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a calling hour on Thursday, Feb. 14, from 10 to 11 a.m., followed by a service at 11 a.m. in the Miles-Sterling Funeral and Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Road, Sterling. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Town of Sterling Fire Dept. Ambulance Fund, P.O. Box 515, Sterling, MA 01564.
