Barbara Grace (Driscoll) Van Doren

Nov 17, 1939 — Oct 13, 2026

Sterling

Sterling - Barbara Grace Van Doren (Driscoll) went to meet her Savior on October 13th, 2026, at her home in Sterling, Massachusetts surrounded by her family. Barbara was the daughter of the late Walter James Driscoll, and Mildred Lucille Driscoll (McAuliffe). She was married to Arnold H. Van Doren for 63 years.

Barbara was raised in West Roxbury, MA and was a graduate of Girls Latin School and Emmanuel College. For a time, she worked as a Mathematician for Raytheon in Norwood, MA until she decided to stay home and raise her children. Barbara was a beautiful Christian woman who loved her church and church family and loved to study the Bible, Barbara was a loyal supportive friend to many including her own family and she was sacrificial in her care for them. She was always fashionably dressed. She loved dogs and had several over the years along with her grand dogs that she kept up with. She and Arnold loved to travel overseas to visit missionary churches and attend conferences. This created a network of friends all over the world. As the Lord took her home to be with Him, the measure of Barbara's life is not found in the technical career that she left behind, but in the many lives that she positively impacted through her selfless care and steady faith.

Besides her loving husband Arnold, Barbara leaves her children, Kathy Corbiere married to Franck of Castle Rock, CO, Arnie Van Doren married to Kelly of Princeton, MA, and Steve Van Doren, married to Melissa, of Portland OR. Barbara leaves her brother Walter Driscoll of Norwood, MA. Barbara also leaves grandchildren Lindsey Corter and her husband Colton of VA, Brian Van Doren and his wife Elizabeth of NC, Paige Van Doren of TN, Tess Van Doren of CO, Noelle Corbiere of CO, Garrett Van Doren of OR, and Zephaniah Corbiere of CO. She leaves the following great grandchildren; John, Conrad, Thomas, Julia and Mary Kate Corter and Wesley and Quincy Van Doren.

The family would like to thank Dr. Carolyn Krasner and the Dana Farber Cancer Institute for their extraordinary care of Barbara over the past 6 years.
