Sterling – Barbara A. (Bond) Wilder, 90, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2025, at Sterling Village Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Clinton, Barbara was the beloved daughter of the late James E. Bond, Jr. and Mildred A. (Valley) Bond. She was a proud graduate of Lancaster High School, Class of 1952, and went on to complete her education at Worcester Girls' Trade School, graduating with the Class of 1955.
Barbara began her professional life in early childhood education, a field that reflected her natural kindness and gentle spirit. She later found her calling in floral design, working for over 30 years at Schneider Florist in Clinton. She continued to share her talents at Windmill Florist in Leominster, and in her later years returned to childcare, a full-circle reflection of her lifelong love for nurturing others.
Barbara was known for her creativity, warmth, and unwavering dedication to her family. She found joy in sewing, gardening, and solving crossword puzzles—simple pleasures that showcased her thoughtful nature and quiet strength.
Barbara leaves behind her devoted daughter, Carrie Lee A. Wilder of Sterling, and her cherished granddaughters, Rachel Wilder and Susan E. Rugg, all of whom brought immense pride and joy to her life.
