STERLING – Bessie “Betty” M. (Cutting) Pratt, 90, of Sterling, died on Monday, October 29, 2007 in River Terrace Healthcare, Lancaster after an illness.
Her husband, Hubert Charles Pratt, died in 1978. She leaves a son, David A. Pratt of Charlestown, Rhode Island; three daughters, Beth E. Kosewski and her husband Stanley of Berlin, Virginia D. Bufton of Sterling and Pamela G. Queeney and her husband John of Sterling; a brother, Dr. Paul Cutting of Coeur D’Alene, Idaho; 13 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 6 great great-grandchildren. She was born in Westboro, the daughter of Albert and Etta (Tourtelotte) Cutting, and lived many years in Lancaster and 32 years in Sterling.
Mrs. Pratt worked as a lab technician at Clinton Hospital for 30 years, retiring in 1980.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a calling hour from 10 to 11 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 1st, in the Miles-Sterling Funeral Home, 100 Worcester Road (Rte. 12), Sterling. Burial will follow in Eastwood Cemetery, Lancaster.
