Beverly (Rafer) Rothstein

April 28, 1929 — April 13, 2026

FRAMINGHAM - Beverly (Rafer) Rothstein, 96, formerly of Worcester and most recently of Framingham, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, April 13, 2026. She was the beloved wife of Milton Rothstein, with whom she shared 64 devoted years of marriage until his passing in 2016.

Born and raised in Fitchburg, Beverly was the daughter of Arthur and Dora (Solomon) Rafer. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt, whose warmth and kindness touched all who knew her.

She leaves three daughters: Bobbi (Larry) Bernstein of Cherry Hill, NJ; Nancy Rothstein of Watertown, MA; and Joanne (Donald James) Clausen of Natick, MA. She is also survived by five cherished grandchildren: David (Lily) Bernstein, Rachel Clausen, Sara Clausen of Boston, Joshua Bernstein of Philadelphia, and Emily Clausen of Natick; and her adored great-granddaughter, Ella Bernstein of Boston. She was lovingly known as "Aunt Bevy" to her many nieces and nephews. Beverly was predeceased by her sisters, Ruth Siegel, Naomi Caplin, Leah Caplin, Sylvia Young, and Sarah Rosenbaum, as well as her brother, Gerson Rafer.

A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at Worcester Hebrew Cemetery, 2 Cemetery Road, Auburn. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Dystonia Medical Research Foundation, 1 East Wacker Drive, Suite 17, Chicago, IL 60601-0198.
