PRINCETON - Beverly Erikson Stewart, age 75, died peacefully on Wednesday, July 8th, 2026. Born June 13, 1951, in Worcester, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Iver and Gladys (Palmgren) Erikson. She was raised and educated in Worcester, where she developed the strong foundations that would guide her throughout her life. Beverly graduated from Clark University in 1973 with a Bachelor of Arts degree andwent on to earn her master’s degree and Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies Studies from Assumption University in 1978.
On June 12 ,1992, she married her beloved husband, Mark Stewart, with whom she has shared a devoted and enduring partnership.
Beverly was passionate about her work helping people with disabilities. She was employed by the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission, The Department of Mental Health and UNUM Insurance Company helping people return to work. She also taught at Assumption University. She was able to combine her passion for helping people and her love of dogs by joining the board and later board president for NEADS located in Princeton, Massachusetts whose mission is to train service dogs.
Beverly is survived by her husband, Mark Stewart, sister Connie Erikson Chirstie, and her brother-in-law Donald Christie, nephews and nieces Jon and Lisa Eriksson, Brett Morrison and Kristy Eriksson. She was predeceased by her brother, Gordon Erikson, and her sister-in-law Dorothy Brewer Erikson.
Beverly’s life has been marked by her dedication to her family, her education, and her professional pursuits. She will be remembered for strength, intelligence, and the lasting connections she made throughout her lifetime.
Family and friends will gather to honor Beverly’s life at Calling Hours from 4:00 – 6:00 PM on Friday, July 17th at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. A Memorial Service will take place at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 18th at St. Francis Episcopal Church, 70 Highland Street, Holden.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to NEADS Service Dogs (www.neads.org).
