Caden J. Stockenberg

May 14, 2005 — Sep 30, 2026

JEFFERSON - Caden J. Stockenberg, 21, passed away unexpectedly on September 30, 2026. He was the deeply loved son of Adam and Beth (Van Patten-Steiger) Stockenberg.

Born in Worcester and raised in Rutland, Massachusetts, Caden spent his childhood surrounded by family, friends, adventure, and creativity. He attended Naquag Elementary School, Glenwood Elementary School, and Central Tree Middle School before graduating from Wachusett Regional High School in 2023.

From an early age, Caden embraced life with enthusiasm and curiosity. He participated in Rutland Little League, Rutland Youth Soccer, the Wachusett Mountain Development Team, Scouts, and a variety of art programs. One of his greatest passions was snowboarding at Wachusett Mountain, where he found both challenge and freedom and created many of his favorite memories.

Caden possessed a remarkable artistic talent and an imagination that seemed to have no limits. Whether drawing, painting, sewing, designing, or building something entirely from scratch, he had the rare ability to envision an idea and bring it to life. His creativity was not confined to any one medium. It was woven into everything he did.

Those who knew Caden will remember far more than his artistic gifts. They will remember his unique spirit, his quick wit, his generous heart, and the authenticity that made him impossible to forget. He had a way of making people feel seen and accepted. He cared deeply for others, sought to bring smiles to those around him, and was fiercely loyal to his family and friends. Caden lived life in his own way, and that individuality became one of the many qualities people admired most about him.

Above all, Caden cherished the people he loved. He leaves behind his devoted parents, Adam and Beth Stockenberg of Jefferson; his beloved younger brothers, Lucas and Noah Stockenberg; his faithful companion, Peyton, the family dog; and friends, and loved ones whose lives are forever changed by his loss.

Family and friends are invited to calling hours at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street in Holden on Thursday, November 12th from 5:00 - 8:00 pm. Interment will be private.

In celebration of Caden's creativity and the joy he brought to others, a memorial art show featuring his work will be held at a later date.
