SUDBURY – Carol Ann (Kreitzman) Lutsk, age 78, died peacefully on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington, after a brief illness. Born in Westbury, NY, Carol was the daughter of Milton and Roslyn (Lonschein) Kreitzman.
Carol grew up on Long Island, graduating from Westbury High School, Class of 1965. She then earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish Literature from Boston University, after which she earned a Master of Arts Degree in Spanish and Latin American Literature from New York University. After working for Digitial Equipment Corporation for several years, Carol began a 17 year journey with IBM, eventually as a Market Development Advisor.
If Carol wasn’t playing pickleball, she was likely playing MahJong, or socializing with her large circle of friends. She also enjoyed the symphony and ballet. An avid reader, Carol was an active participant in a book group. She also cared very deeply about issues affecting health and the political environment. One of her greatest passions was perfecting her Spanish language skills, and becoming an Instructor of English as a second language at Framingham State University was a highlight of Carol’s retirement.
Carol will be lovingly missed and remembered by her devoted husband, Kenneth S. Lutsk of Sudbury, with whom she shared a 40 year relationship; and many cousins, nieces and nephews whom she adored. She was predeceased by her brother, David Kreitzman.
Family and friends will gather to honor Carol’s life at a Graveside Funeral Service at 1:00 PM on Sunday, May 17th at B’nai Brith Cemetery, 55 St. John’s Road, Worcester. Arrangements are in the care of Miles Funeral Home of Holden. Memorial Observance will be announced.
