RUTLAND/WORCESTER - Carol G. Gilroy, 87, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2025. She is the loving wife of the late William Gilroy, with whom she shared over 65 years of marriage.

Born in Worcester, Carol was the daughter of the late John and Eva (Bloom) Armstrong. She worked for several years at Sprague Electric and then became a bus driver in the Worcester and Wachusett school systems for over 20 years.

Carol was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who cherished every moment spent with her family. An avid card player, Carol enjoyed visiting Foxwoods to play Blackjack with her sister Beverly, where their time together was filled with fun and camaraderie.

She leaves behind her three children, Scott Gilroy and his wife Jennifer of Rutland, Derek Gilroy of Rutland, and Todd Gilroy and his wife Sandy of Sutton; her grandchildren, Danielle and her partner Cody, Maddy and their wife Alexis, Michael and his wife Danni, Brittney, Emma, Justin, Maddox, Tyler, Grace, Nathan, Billy, Timmy, and Sean; and her great grandchildren, Scarlett, Emmett, Cooper, and Logan and many nieces and nephews.
