WORCESTER- Christine (Hallen) Fournier, 73, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on Saturday, May 2, 2026.

Born in Worcester and raised in Auburn, Christine was the daughter of the late Leo and Nancy R. (Manthorn) Hallen. She attended Auburn Public Schools and was a graduate of Auburn High School.

Christine met the love of her life, Michael A. Fournier, when they were just six years old. Their childhood friendship grew into a lifelong bond, and at the age of sixteen they began dating. In 1971, they were married and went on to build a life together in Worcester, where they lovingly raised their family.

Christine devoted much of her life to caring for others. She owned and operated her own daycare on her mini farm for 28 years, creating a warm and nurturing environment for countless children and families. Her kindness, patience, and gentle spirit left a lasting impact on all who knew her.

She will be deeply missed by her beloved husband, Michael A. Fournier of Worcester; her son, Christopher M. Fournier of Worcester; her daughter, Tammy (Fournier) McGill of Worcester; her cherished grandchildren, Annabelle, Cassaundra, Vanessa, Michael, April, and Cecillia; her great-grandson, Elias; and her brother, Dennis Hallen and his wife, Pamela, of Auburn.

In addition to her parents, Christine was predeceased by her two sons, Michael and Kevin Fournier, and her brother, Kevin Hallen.

In her free time, Christine enjoyed reading, baking birthday cakes for those she loved, and taking trips to the beach, especially to her favorite destination, Old Orchard Beach. She also cherished camping, listening to the music of The Beatles and The Beach Boys, and watching Columbo in its entirety. Christine had a generous spirit and was always giving to others. She especially treasured time spent with family during the holidays, with Christmas holding a special place in her heart. Above all else, the absolute joy of Christine’s life was spending time with her grandchildren and being a constant, loving presence throughout every stage of their upbringing. From their earliest days through each milestone, she cherished every moment she spent with them, and nothing brought her greater happiness than watching them grow.

In accordance with Christine’s wishes, services will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Christine’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
