Holden – Claire T. (Bouchard) DiCesare, 95, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, March 7, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

She was born in Ware, the cherished daughter of the late Ulrich and Leah (Fontaine) Bouchard, and graduated from North Brookfield High School.

Claire devoted her life to caring for others. She became a Registered Nurse and served the community for more than 40 years, most notably at UMass Memorial Hospital, where her compassion and dedication touched the lives of countless patients and colleagues.

She married the love of her life, the late Louis DiCesare, and together they built a life in Holden where they raised their family. Claire and Louis shared 51 wonderful years of marriage before his passing in 2003, creating a home filled with warmth, faith, and devotion to family.

Claire and Louis were founding members of St. George Church in Worcester, where she remained a faithful communicant for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening and sewing, and she had a passion for travel, embarking on several international trips with family members and fellow nurses. Above all, Claire treasured time with her family. She took great joy in being a grandmother and great-grandmother, roles that brought her immense pride and happiness.

Claire was predeceased by her beloved husband of 51 years, Louis DiCesare, in 2003. She will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her children: Robert DiCesare of Holden; Steven DiCesare of Worcester; Mark DiCesare and his wife, Pam, of North Brookfield; Jon DiCesare and his wife, Diana, of Kansas; David DiCesare of Ludlow; and Teresa Berry of Holden. She is also survived by her brothers, Paul Bouchard of Oregon and Eugene Bouchard and his wife, Claire, of Leicester; seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Claire was predeceased by her daughter, Claire DiCesare; her brother, Henry Bouchard; her sister, Leah Gearin; and her granddaughter, Leah Berry.
