Dartmouth

Cynthia Christine Kenney, aged 78, passed peacefully on July 7, 2025, surrounded by the loving presence of her family. Born in Worcester, MA on May 13, 1947, she was the daughter of Helena Marianna (Boruch) Kenney and George A Kenney. Cynthia was predeceased by her fiancé, Edward Zukowski, and her son, Michael Todd Supernor.

Cynthia is survived by her sister, Judith Wiinikka, and her brother, Stephen Lucente, as well as her daughters, Laurie Ann Anastos and Lisa Marie Oakes, and her son David Anthony Oakes and their respective spouses. Cynthia is also survived by her grandchildren, Brandon and Kyle Stuczynski, Seth Carreau, Michael and Ryan Supernor, Olivia and Sophia Anastos, and Austin Depina. Additionally, she leaves four great-grandchildren.

Cynthia attended Worcester Public Schools and went on to further her education at Northeastern University. Throughout her professional career, Cynthia worked at Memorial Hospital in Worcester as a dietary supervisor. As she progressed her career, she was an avid employee and Case Manager of the Department of Revenue based in Massachusetts, where she diligently worked for many years.

She was and always will be well-known for her vivacious personality and witty one-liners, and infamous for sipping on a Dunkin’ Donuts coffee with her freshly manicured nails. Cynthia cherished working in her garden, making homemade pickles for her grandkids who later dubbed her as “Mimi Pickles”. She enjoyed many vacations and cruises, creating lasting memories with her daughter Lisa and grandson Austin.

Cynthia loved playing cribbage with Beth, Robin, John, and spending quality time conversing with her great-nieces and nephews, Josslyn, Sarah, Isaiah, and Isak. She was always up for an occasional trip to the casinos with Ken and Judy, as she played her lucky slot “triple sevens” and a few rounds of bingo. She loved nothing more than her yorkies Bunny and Poppy, who never left her side.
