Biography

HOLDEN – Daniel B. Glodas, 77, of Holden passed away peacefully with his loving wife by his side at Homestead Hall in Worcester on Thursday, March 30, 2017. Dan was born in Marijampoli, Lithuania a son of Bronius and Margaret (Jakubaukaits) Glodas.  In 1949, when he was 9 years old, he and his family came to the United States on the USS Trooper carrier, the USS General M. Hersey, from Germany. He was a graduate of Classical High School’s class of 1957. After high school he graduated Clark University with his MBA. Dan was the patient accounts manager for Fallon Clinic for 14 years prior to opening C.H.M. Medical Billing Company in 1986, which still runs today.   Dan was member of St. Mary’s Church in Jefferson and a former member of St. Casimir Church in Worcester. He was very proud to be on the Board of Maironis Park in Shrewsbury.  Dan and Maureen would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Wilfrid G. Pitts of the “shrinking world of Private Practice,” the Notre Dame Hospice team and above all the “Jewel on the Hill,” Homestead Hall Rest Home for their tireless efforts and comforts to all who walk through their doors.  He will be lovingly missed by his wife of 21 years, Maureen (Gentile) Glodas; his brother, Francis Glodas and his wife, Regina of Shrewsbury; two nieces, Dina Nobile of Holden and Lauran Paciello of Hyannis; and cousins in Lithuania. With Dan’s warm smile he would like to be remembered, “I am not sure exactly what Heaven will be like, but I know that when we die and it comes time for God to judge us, he will not ask, ‘How many good things have you done in your life?’ rather he will ask, ‘How much LOVE did you put into what you did?’” ~ Mother Teresa There will be no service. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to Notre Dame Hospice, 555 Plantation Street, Worcester, MA 01605.
