STERLING – David Noel Adoretti, 72, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, June 18, 2021. Born and raised in Westfield, he was the son of the late James and Dorothy (Atwater) Adoretti.
Dave will be lovingly missed and remembered by his daughter, Alyssa Adoretti and her boyfriend, Jason Grimaldi of Feeding Hills; his three sons, Chris Adoretti and his girlfriend, Diana Johnson of Oakland, CA, Dana Adoretti and his wife, Windy of Bend, OR and Nate Adoretti and his wife, Kalie of Bigfork, MT; his two grandchildren, Garett and Norah; his wife, Connie (Bonneau) Adoretti; his niece, Tracey Adoretti, and his nephew, Pete Adoretti. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Peter Adoretti.
Dave proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War where he was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal with 4 Bronze Service Stars and the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry with Palm. Upon his return, he earned his associate's degree and began a long career in the computer industry. He was a respected leader at several local companies including Photo Panels of New England, Vox 2, Sun Microsystems, and Digital Equipment. In his spare time, he could often be found fishing, gardening, cooking, and traveling to visit loved ones. Helping others was always a priority for Dave, and he never hesitated to lend a hand when needed.
Family and friends are invited to visit with Dave’s family from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 27th in the Miles-Sterling Funeral and Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Road, Sterling. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home. David will be laid to rest with military honors in the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Winchendon.
