David ''Dave'' L. Paradiso

RUTLAND – David “Dave” L. Paradiso, 47, of 11 Orchard Hill Drive, died suddenly at home on Saturday, May 6, 2006.
He leaves his wife of 17 years, Wendy S. (Abbott) Paradiso; three daughters at home, Chrissy, Chelle and Dani Paradiso; his mother, Barbara J. (Fay) Paradiso of Hudson; his paternal grandmother, Vincenza Paradiso of Wrentham; two brothers, Stephen Paradiso and his wife Beth of West Newbury and Kenneth Paradiso and his wife Gail of North Carolina; a sister, Sandie Paradiso and her husband Daniel Sund of Shrewsbury; many nieces and nephews. He was born in Boston, son of the late Leonard L. Paradiso, was raised in Framingham and graduated Framingham North High School. He lived in Princeton for five years before moving to Rutland 12 years ago.
Dave was a Senior Software Engineer for EMC Corporation in Hopkinton for over 5 years. Previously he worked over 15 years at Digital Equipment Corp. in Shrewsbury where he played for the AKP team in the men’s softball league, and he was a member of its golf league. He was active and coached in the Rutland Youth Soccer and Softball leagues and the Framingham Babe Ruth league. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Church.
The funeral for Dave will be held on Thursday, May 11, from the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Church, 290 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Rutland. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Connor Lane, Princeton. Dave will be remembered as a dedicated N.E. sports fan therefore the family requests casual sports attire for his calling hours from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 10, in the funeral home. Please omit flowers. Memorial donations may be made to the David L. Paradiso Children’s Education Fund, c/o Bay State Savings Bank, 628 Main Street, Holden, MA 01520.
