David L. Lovejoy

SHARON — David L. Lovejoy, 38, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 20, 2026.

Born and raised in Sharon, Mass., David was the beloved son of David L. and Annmarie (Dangelo) Lovejoy. He attended Sharon Public Schools and graduated from Sharon High School as a member of the Class of 2007. He continued his education at Hartwick College in New York, where he proudly played football on a scholarship.

After college, David built a career in the trades, most recently working in the plumbing industry. A true blue-collar guy, he took pride in working with his hands and never shied away from a hard day’s work.

David was truly one of a kind—funny, genuine, and full of character. He had a gift for bringing energy and laughter wherever he went and could make everyone around him feel welcome and at ease. He loved fishing at the Cape, cooking, gardening, finding a good bargain through couponing, and cheering on his favorite football and basketball teams.

Most of all, he cherished his family and friends.

David’s greatest joy was the people he loved. He will be deeply missed by his mother, Annmarie Lovejoy of Sharon; his sisters, Theresa Lovejoy and her husband, Sylvester, of Wayland, and Stephanie Lovejoy of Norwich, Vermont; his life partner, Rochelle Wilkins of Holden, and her sons, Wyatt and Brodie, whom he adored and considered his own; his nieces and nephews, Elliot, Benjamin, Corinne, Averi, and Dylan; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends. He was predeceased by his father, David L. Lovejoy.

David will be remembered for his kind heart, infectious smile, sense of humor, and unmistakable spirit. He had a way of making ordinary moments memorable and bringing joy simply by being himself. Though his life was far too short, the love, laughter, and memories he shared with those around him will remain with them forever.

In accordance with David’s wishes, all services will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in David’s name in honor of his courageous battle with leukemia to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 450 Brookline Avenue, Boston, MA 02215.
