AUBURN – Deborah F. (Field) Bennett, 95, of Auburn, formerly of Holden, died peacefully in her home on Sunday, October 21, 2012. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Raymond H. and Flora (Moore) Field, and lived in Holden before moving to Auburn in 1939.
Mrs. Bennett was predeceased by her loving husband, Alfred W. Bennett in 1989. She is survived by her son, Wayne A. Bennett of Holden; a daughter, Gail M. Bennett of Auburn; two brothers, Rodney B. Field of Delaware and Gilman A. Field of Holden; four nephews, two nieces and many cousins. Mrs. Bennett was a member of the Hadwen Park Congregational Church in Worcester. She was an avid reader and loved cooking and baking. Her life was devoted to her family and will be sadly missed by her relatives and many friends at the Hadwen Park Congregational Church.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. A private funeral service for Mrs. Bennett will be held at the funeral home. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 3049, Syracuse, NY 13220-3049.
