HOLDEN - Deborah J. Ham, 74, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones, on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at UMass Memorial Medical Center – University Campus in Worcester.
Born and raised in Holden, Deborah was the daughter of the late John and Beverly (Baer) Ham. She attended the Holden Public Schools and was a graduate of Wachusett Regional High School. Following graduation, Deborah worked as a laboratory technician before dedicating many years to serving as an office manager for several local dental practices.
Deborah loved hiking, kayaking the local rivers, sailing, and caring for dogs. She was also naturally creative and artistic, with a passion for interior design fashion, and an appreciation for making the world around her beautiful. Above all, Deborah cherished the time she spent with her family and the love they shared together.
She leaves her beloved son, Evan Scola and his wife, Jessica, of Worcester; her brothers, Jeffrey Ham and his wife, Cathy, of Cape Cod, and Dana Ham and his partner, Christy, of Montana; and her sister, Jennifer Gifford of New Hampshire. In addition to her parents, Deborah was predeceased by her brother, Jack Ham, and her sister, Judy Perry.
In accordance with Deborah’s wishes, all services will be held privately. A Celebration of Life honoring her life and memory will be held at a later date. Details will be announced when arrangements have been finalized
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Deborah’s name to the Worcester Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden Street, Worcester, MA 01606.
