OXFORD/WORCESTER – Delon “Skeeter” G. White, 54, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Friday, June 21, 2019 at UMass Memorial Healthcare – Lake Avenue after a brief illness. He was born in Holden and lived most of his life in Worcester before moving to Oxford in 2014.
Delon will be affectionately remembered by his wife, Marie E. (Seymour) White; his cherished daughter, Traci Giacobbi of Douglas; two stepdaughters, Elana Woehl of Worcester and Maria Seymour of Oxford; his mother, Sandra J. (Kivisto) White of Worcester; four brothers, Robert White of Shrewsbury, David White of Hubbardston, William and Scott White both of Worcester; aunts and uncles; several nephews and nieces.
Delon attended Worcester public schools and worked as a diesel mechanic and drove tractor trailers for many years. He drove for KeHE Distributors in Worcester and F. Golden Trucking in Grafton. Delon was considered a homebody and was well known for his wonderful sense of humor.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Delon’s family from 5 to 8 pm on Wednesday, June 26, at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Thursday, June 27, at St. John’s Church, 44 Temple St., Worcester, followed by burial at St. John’s Cemetery.
