Doris Ann (James) Mason

WEST BOYLSTON – Doris Ann (James) Mason, 80, passed away peacefully from this life to the glory of Heaven on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 Oakdale Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing Center after an illness. She was born in Saint Joseph, Missouri, the daughter of Frank and Irma (Greenlee) James and had lived most of her life in Kansas City, Missouri. She leaves her two loving sons, James A. Mason and his wife, Christine of Sterling and Daniel A. Mason and his wife, Deb Chatfield of Parkville, Missouri; two grandchildren, Jacob and Matthew; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her two sisters, Margaret Riesterer and Shirley McDowell. Doris graduated from Lafayette High School and went to work as the credit manager of the Hilton Hotel at the KCI airport for fifteen years and later at Special D Trucking. She was proud of her sons and worked diligently in helping them with their achievements. Doris was a den mother for her sons Cub Scouts pack and was their biggest cheerleader in any sport they played. Doris was past president and a member of the Kansas City Northland Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association and loved to travel. She loved the Lord with all of her heart. The family would like to thank the staff at Oakdale for the care and love they provided during the past four years.
