WORCESTER - Doris S. Wagner, 98, of Worcester, passed away on Monday, November 3, 2025 after a long and full life devoted to her family.
Doris is survived by her four children, Dennis Wagner and his wife, Linda of Ashburn, VA; Holly Brazel of Duxbury, MA; Nancy Chanson and her husband, Scott of Worcester; and Cheryl Kassira and her husband, Firas of Worcester; and her sister, Anita Birtz, of Worcester. She also leaves her beloved grandchildren, Scott (Jamie), Matt (Eileen), Christopher (Sara), Carrie (Kevin), Tessa (John Paul), Lauren (Steven), and Jonathan (Susan); and her great-grandchildren, Cooper, Reagan, Allison, Sean, Cassidy, Calvin, Maeve, and James.
She was predeceased by her husband, and the love of her life, Frank J. Wagner.
Born and raised in Worcester, Doris was the daughter of Ferdinanda (Poirier) and Joseph Benedictis. She graduated from St Stephen's School. She met Frank on a blind date and built their life together in Worcester, where they raised their family and created countless cherished memories. Some of her fondest memories were of family trips to Misquamicut Beach when her children were young. Doris loved the beach and the time that she and Frank spent in Florida together. She also found great joy in cooking and baking for her family, and absolutely treasured holidays and family gatherings, when her family was all together in one place.
In her later years, she loved spending her time out on her sun porch reading, talking on the phone with her children and her sister Anita, and reminiscing through memories and old photo albums. Throughout her life, her fireplace mantel and the walls of her home were covered with pictures of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, whom she was very proud of. Doris was fortunate to remain in her own home until her final days, as per her wishes.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00 am on Tuesday, November 11th, at Christ the King Church, 1052 Pleasant St., Worcester. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Ave., Paxton.
