Dorothy M. (Butler) Burns

LONG ISLAND, NY – Dorothy M. (Butler) Burns, 83, formerly of Worcester, passed away Friday, November 5, 2004, in Brentwood, New York, after a long illness.
Dorothy leaves her husband of 63 years, John R. Burns; six children; six grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter; a sister, Judith Joslyn of Holden; and two nephews. She was born in Worcester, daughter of George and Mary (Lonergan) Butler. Her brother, George Butler, Jr., predeceased her. Dorothy graduated from St. Peter’s High School and Becker College. She worked many years for the New England Telephone Company.
A Memorial Mass for Mrs. Burns will be held at 5 p.m. on Saturday, November 13, in St. Columba Church, 10 Richards Avenue, Paxton. Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden, is directing local arrangements.
