Elizabeth J. Orcutt

Elizabeth “Betsy” Orcutt, 74, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2026, after a long battle with cancer.

Born and raised in Medfield, Massachusetts, Betsy most recently resided in Holden. She graduated from Ursuline Academy and went on to earn her master’s degree in special education from Worcester State College. She dedicated her career to helping others through her work with the Devereux Foundation and Worcester Public Schools.

Betsy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, reading a good book, and spending summers on Cape Cod.

She leaves behind her daughter, Sarah Orcutt of Holden, and her son, Christopher Orcutt, and his partner, Kendra Mort, of Brookfield. She was predeceased by her husband, George Orcutt, and her brother, Paul Wilson.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Betsy’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 5, 2026, at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden, MA. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
