Elynore Jane Kaplan

WORCESTER – Elynore Jane Kaplan, age 93, died peacefully on Saturday, October 24th, 2026, after a period of declining health. Born in Springfield, MA, she was the daughter of Peter and Sylvia (Davis) Kaplan and lived most of her life in Massachusetts.

Elynore will be lovingly missed and remembered by her devoted sister, Roberta Joy Brumer, Alyson and Ron Saykin, and husband Jerry of Springfield, nephew Rick Handman (Marylin) and her many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved partner of 40 years, Joan Zinck this past July; as well as her sisters, Gloria Handman and Betty Miele.

Family and friends will gather to honor Elynore’s memory at her Funeral Service at 10:00 AM on Thursday, November 5th at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. Entombment will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery and Mausoleum, 162 Webster Street, Worcester.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to ASPCA or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
