HOLDEN – Frank P. Waskiewicz, 83, of Holden died on Sunday, July 6, 2008 in Oakdale Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, West Boylston after an illness.
He leaves his wife, Josephine T. (Kaminski) Waskiewicz; three grandchildren, Dena Lewis of Sutton, Beth Hall of Amherst, New Hampshire and Keith Waskiewicz of Worcester; several nieces and nephews. A son, John Waskiewicz died in 1993. He is also predeceased by 13 brothers and sisters. He was born in Warren the son of Ignacy and Frances (Kowalczyk) Waskiewicz and lived 50 years in Holden.
Mr. Waskiewicz was a machinist at Reed Rolled Thread Die Co. in Holden for over 20 years. He was a World War II Navy Veteran and served in both the European-African-Middle Eastern and the Asiatic-Pacific Theaters where he received three Bronze Stars.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 10th, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. Funeral services for Mr. Waskiewicz will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 11th, in the funeral home followed by burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, 1326 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
