RUTLAND - Frank L. Trotto, 82, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester.
Born in Worcester and raised in Oxford, Frank was the son of the late Frank Trotto and Josephine (Pascowich) Sullivan. He attended Oxford Public Schools and was a graduate of Oxford High School. Following graduation, Frank proudly enlisted in the United States National Guard, where he honorably served for four years.
After his military service, Frank joined the family business, Worcester Sand & Gravel. He later fulfilled his lifelong dream of owning and operating Grey Rock Autobody, where he spent many years building lasting relationships with customers and friends before retiring.
In 1986, Frank met the love of his life, Susan Gorham, while she was working as a teller at Guarantee Bank in Paxton. They formed an immediate connection, and after their first date at Forefathers Restaurant and Tavern, they knew they had found something special. Just a few short months later, they were married on October 18, 1986, beginning a loving partnership that would span nearly 40 years.
Frank enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. He loved golfing, snowmobiling in New Hampshire, watching his favorite television shows, especially golf tournaments. Above all else, Frank cherished every moment spent with his family, who were the center of his life.
He will be lovingly missed by his devoted wife, Susan J. (Gorham) Trotto of Rutland; his children, Scott S. Trotto and his wife, Veronica, of Ellenton, Florida, Jodie B. Trotto and her partner, Karen Petricig, of Cranston, Rhode Island, and Toni D. Whitcher and her husband, Thad, of Auburn; his stepson, Gene A. Gorham and his wife, Teresa, of Rutland; and his cherished granddaughters, Kayla Gorham and Brooke Whitcher.
In addition to his parents, Frank was predeceased by his first wife, Jacquelyn A. (Bennett) Trotto; his brother, John Trotto; and his stepson, Todd Gorham.
In accordance with Frank's wishes, all services will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Frank's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
