October 4, 1955 — April 15, 2015

Biography
HOLDEN – Gail F. (Keefe) Wroten, 59, died peacefully on Wednesday April 15, 2015 at UMass Memorial Medical Center, Worcester, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Hudson, daughter of the late Frederick T. and Irene E. (McCormack) Keefe.

Gail was raised in Hudson and graduated from Hudson High School, Class of 1974 and then Broms Academy, Worcester. She worked as a hair stylist for many years, including most recently as the manager of Smart Styles in Leominster. Gail was a vibrant person who was so full of life. Always quick with a joke or comment, Gail was talked to people like she knew them forever. To Gail, family meant everything. She worked hard to support her children and enjoyed spending time with all of her extended family. Her passing leaves great sadness and a void in all of their hearts.

Gail will be missed by her three children, William R. Chance of Worcester, Michael T. Chance of Worcester and Kortni Wroten of Holden; her five siblings, William Keefe of Georgia, Andrew Keefe of Clinton, Maureen Portanova of Holden, Dennis Keefe of Dracut and Patrick Keefe of Georgia; her many nephews and nieces, including Paige and Jill, who were like daughters to Gail. She was predeceased by her brother, Frederick T. Keefe, Jr.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 21, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, Princeton Street, Holden. Burial will be private at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to support the Nobody Dies Alone Program, UMass Memorial Health Care, 333 South Street, Shrewsbury, MA 01545.
