RUTLAND - Gary J. Bottcher, 61, of Rutland died peacefully on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester after a short illness. He was born and raised in Worcester and had lived in Rutland for 20 years.
Gary attended Worcester Public Schools and graduated from North High School with the class of 1975. He was a truck driver for many years, employed by Angelica Laundry Services. Gary was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting with family and friends. He will be sadly missed by all.
Gary will be lovingly remembered by his children, Brooke L. Putelis and her husband, Jason A. Putelis of Auburn; his son, John H. Bottcher and his fiancée, Nicolle Galipeau of Millbury; his mother, Norma M. Jones of Rutland with whom he lived; his fiancée, Sheila Cousineau and her son, Joseph; three siblings, William R. Bottcher III of Worcester, Dennis R. Bottcher and his wife, Anne Marie of Sturbridge and Kelly A. Muhr and her husband, Michael Muhr of Shirley Mills, ME; four beloved grandchildren, Jack and Brynn Putelis, Scarlett Bottcher and Brianne Crespo; as well as several nieces and nephews. Gary was predeceased by his step father, Charles W. Jones.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, January 29th at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 30th at St. Patrick's Church, 258 Main St., Rutland. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery, 260 Cambridge St., Worcester.
