RUTLAND – Gilberte L. “Gil” (Beaudette) Tremblay, 95, beloved wife of the late Rene H. Tremblay, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, with her family by her side at Shrewsbury Rehabilitation and Nursing at Southgate. Born and raised in Leominster, she was the daughter of the late Adrien and Solange (Theroux) Beaudette.
Gil graduated from The David Hale Fanning Trade School for Girls. She went on to enjoy a long career as a hairdresser and business owner of Magic Mirror Coiffures for many years. She was a faithful member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and prior to that St. Christopher Church where she was a volunteer of Friday night bingo and the retired club.
Gil was also a member of the Rutland Senior Center and the Rutland Knitting Club. She loved bingo and an occasional trip to Foxwoods. She enjoyed knitting, cross stitch, stained glass and creating floral arrangements. She enjoyed frequent trips to Florida with her family. Most of all, nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her three beautiful granddaughters.
She will be lovingly missed and remembered by her daughter, Michelle Jardine and her husband, James of Rutland; three granddaughters including Renee Pocis and her husband, Tyler, Elizabeth Hubert and her husband, Matthew and Jessica Jardine. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Rene Tremblay in 2004.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 18 at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. A service will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park 217 Richards Avenue, Paxton.
