WORCESTER – Richard H. Cousineau, 71, of 11 Mountainshire Drive, died at home on Sunday, November 4, 2007.

He leaves his son, Thomas H. Cousineau of Warwick, RI; two daughters, Dianne L. Falconer and her husband Eric of Kennebunk, ME and Carolyn M. Anderson and her husband Robert of Longmeadow; a brother, Roger B. Cousineau and his wife Doris of Windham, ME; a sister, Sandra C. Schaffner and her husband Charles of Port Clinton, OH; and 3 grandchildren, Matthew, Caitlin and James. He was born on November 13, 1935 in Worcester, son of Lawrence H. and Maybelle (Lane) Cousineau and lived 20 years in South Hadley, MA before moving back to Worcester 16 years ago. He was a 1953 graduate of Saint John’s High School and earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University in 1957.

Mr. Cousineau spent his entire career in the machine tool industry. He started with Heald Machine Co. in Worcester and continued with Cincinnati Millacron, until his retirement in 1992. He was a member of St. Christopher’s Church and a former member of St. Theresa’s in South Hadley. He was a train enthusiast and a long time member of the Pioneer Valley Live Steamers of Southwick, the Amherst Railway Society and the Seashore Trolley Museum in Kennebunkport, ME. He was past president of the South Hadley Lions Club.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a calling hour from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. on Friday, November 9th, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden, followed by a funeral Mass for Mr. Cousineau at 10 a.m. in St. Christopher’s Church, 950 West Boylston Street (Rte. 12), Worcester. Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 10th, in Hope Cemetery, Rte. 1, Kennebunk, ME. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saint John’s High School, Annual Fund, 378 Main Street, Shrewsbury, MA 01545 ( www.stjohnshigh.org ); or the Seashore Trolley Museum, Railway Historical Society, P.O. Box A, Kennebunkport, ME 04046-1690 ( www.trolleymuseum.org ).
