S Margaret (Hicks) Sabine

BARRE – Margaret (Hicks) Sabine, 67, of 310 Old Coldbrook Road, died on Friday, September 19, 2007, in Saint Vincent Hospital, Worcester after an illness.

Her husband of 43 years, Charles “Chuck” L. Sabine, died in 2006. She leaves a son, Charles F. Sabine and his wife Julie Ann of Barre; two daughters, Amanda M. Huntoon and her husband David of Gold Beach, Oregon, and Tracy Sampson and her husband William of Lake Worth, Florida; three brothers, Ronald, Frederick, and Stewart all of England; a sister, Muriel of Greece; four grandchildren, Lynette and Justine Huntoon, Abigail Sampson, and C.J. Sabine; nephews and nieces. A brother predeceased her. She was born in Sunderland, England and lived over twenty years in Hubbardston and five years in Barre. While in England, Mrs. Sabine served in the British Army.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, September 22nd, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden followed by a private funeral service at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Why Me, Inc., & Sherry House, 1152 Pleasant St., Worcester, MA 01602.
