WORCESTER -Irene “Chykie” (Leviton) Feldman, 97, passed away on October 6th, 2026 peacefully at the Jewish Healthcare Center.

Born and raised in Worcester, Irene was the daughter of Rose and Abraham Leviton. Irene and her three brothers (Eli, Philip and Erwin) grew up near Water Street on the East Side of Worcester. She attended Commerce High School with a major in secretarial studies.

After graduating, Irene met Harold Feldman, and they married in 1948. They moved to Dorchester while Harold studied pharmacy. Irene worked as a secretary, commuting by train to Boston, before devoting herself to raising their three children: Paul, Michael and Marjorie.

The family later returned to Worcester, where Irene cared for her mother, Rose, during her 14 years at the Jewish Healthcare Center. Irene and her family also shared many happy days working together at their family business – Towne Pharmacy in Westborough, which Harold founded.

In retirement, Irene and Harold moved to Hyannis, where they spent 20 joyful years on the Cape. Irene loved spending time with dear friends, taking her grandchildren to the beach, baking her mother’s Russian pastries, and working on sewing projects.

Irene will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Michael and Paul Feldman; her grandchildren, Michelle and Danielle Piraino, Becky and Ben Feldman, Amy Stumberg and Nicole Feldman; her adopted grandchildren, Pedro and Valentina; and her great-grandchildren, Aurora, Blake and Charlie. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Meryl, Sharon, Charlene, George, Mark, Corrine, Joseph, Mark and Lora. She was predeceased by her daughter, Marjorie Feldman, and husband Harold Feldman.

A devoted wife, mother, sister, friend, and grandmother, Irene adored her family. Her open heart, unconditional love, and happy-go-lucky spirit touched everyone who knew her. Irene had a song for every occasion – something she and Phil, shared.
