HOLDEN – J. Bruce Dunn, 74, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, January 11, 2021, after an illness. He was born in Worcester, the son of William and Doris (Gloster) Dunn, and had lived most of his life in Holden.
He leaves his loving wife of 54 years, Linda J. (Lindberg) Dunn; his son, Christopher Dunn and his wife, Pamela of Andover; three grandchildren, Grace, Emma, and Brady; his brother, Dwight Dunn of Warren; nieces, nephews and many good friends. He was predeceased by his brother, William Dunn.
Bruce was a graduate of Worcester Boys Trade School and later became a Master Electrician. He owned and operated J.B. Dunn Electric for 45 years before retiring in 2014. He continued to work part-time and was a former wiring inspector for the Towns of Sterling and Princeton. Bruce was a hot rod enthusiast and was an avid Patriots and New England sports fan. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Bruce always loved spending time with his family and friends; enjoyed many social gatherings, especially hanging out at the garage with the guys.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Bruce’s family on Saturday, January 16th from 1 to 3 p.m. followed by a celebration of life service at 3 p.m. in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. Appropriate Covid-19 protocol will be observed including the use of face masks and social distancing. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to JDRF Greater New England Chapter, 60 Walnut Street, Wellesley Hills, MA 02481.
