HOLDEN - Jacqueline S. “Jackie” (Dorow) Lancaster, 52, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, September 4, 2026, at UMass Memorial Medical Center – University Campus in Worcester, following a courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis.
Born in Athol and raised in Orange, Jackie was the beloved daughter of Melvin and Dorothy (Bacon) Dorow. She attended the Orange Public Schools and was a graduate of Mahar Regional High School, Class of 1993.
Following high school, Jackie worked in several retail positions before discovering her true calling as a homemaker and mother. In 1996, Jackie met the love of her life, John Lancaster. The two began dating and, on October 12, 2001, they were married. Together, they built a beautiful life, raised their family, and settled in Worcester County.
Jackie will be lovingly remembered by her devoted husband of nearly 25 years, John I. Lancaster of Holden; her two cherished sons, Joseph and Joshua Lancaster, both of Holden; and her mother, Dorothy Dorow of Orange. She also leaves many beloved nieces and nephews, extended family members, and countless dear friends whose lives were touched by her kindness and friendship.
In addition to her father, Jackie was predeceased by her beloved sister, Laura Dorow.
Jackie found happiness in the simple things in life. She enjoyed working on puzzles and crafting, but above all else, she treasured the time she spent with her family. Her greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was being a wife and mother. She cherished every moment with John, Joseph, and Joshua, and her love for them was at the heart of everything she did. Jackie will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
In accordance with Jackie’s wishes, all services will be held privately.
