Biography
WORCESTER – James F. Black, Jr., died on January 21, 2015 in Worcester. He was predeceased by his sister, Sheree Rosenholm Northam.

He was born in Sewell, NJ, the son of the late James F. Black, Sr. and Winnie (Underwood) Black, and lived in Worcester for the past 20 years.

James was member of the Quinsigamond Lodge of Masons and Temple Emanuel, both in Worcester.

He graduated Northeastern University and the Maryland School of Social Work. James worked as university guidance counselor, therapist, forensic social worker and college instructor. He was a longtime friend of Bill W.

James was always at his best when he was reaching out to help others in need.

FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 11:00 AM ON SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 1ST AT TEMPLE EMANUEL SINAI, 661 SALISBURY STREET, WORCESTER UNDER THE DIRECTION OF RICHARD PERLMAN OF MILES FUNERAL HOME OF HOLDEN. Burial will be in B’Nai Brith Cemetery in Worcester.
