HOLDEN – James W. “Jim” Haley, 58, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born in Worcester and raised in Milbury, Jim was the beloved son of the late William and Roseann (Turner) Haley. He grew up with a strong work ethic and a natural curiosity that stayed with him throughout his life. After earning his associate degree, Jim embarked on a long and dedicated career with L3Harris Company, where he worked for 25 years as a manufacturing consultant.
In 2000, Jim married the love of his life, Brenda Bain, and together they built a life filled with devotion, laughter, and countless memories over their 25 years of marriage.
Jim is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Haley; his cherished children, Alexis and Tyler Haley of Holden; his two sisters; and his nephews, Benjamin and Nicholas Orphin.
A man who found peace and happiness in the outdoors, Jim loved surfcasting along the shores of Cape Cod, where he felt most at home by the water. He treasured family trips to Ashaway Campground in Rhode Island, often relaxing in the hot tub after a long day of camping and exploring. Jim also enjoyed evenings by the fire pit, riding electric bikes with Brenda along New England’s scenic rail trails, and embracing any opportunity to be outside in nature. These simple joys brought him deep fulfillment and created lasting memories for his family.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather with Jim’s family for a period of Calling Hours on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Funeral Service celebrating his life will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Both services will take place at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jim's name can be made to the Autism Resource Center - A Program of Advocates, 712 Plantation St, Worcester, MA 01605.
