Jennie (Capuana) Lee

RUTLAND – Jennie (Capuana) Lee, 105, formerly of Rutland and Medford, died peacefully on Sunday, April 1, 2012 at Quaboag Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center, West Brookfield. Jennie was born in Italy and raised in East Boston where she attended school. She lived over 80 years in Medford before moving to Rutland in 2003.
She worked over 45 years at the former Charles’ Chocolate Factory in Medford. Even after she retired, Jennie worked occasionally for special events until she moved to Rutland in 2003, at the age of 97. Jennie was mother to Diane E. Cleary (deceased) and her husband James E. Cleary of Florida, formerly of Wilmington. She leaves two granddaughters, Jessica Magnani and her husband Kevin Magnani of Rutland, and Danielle Cleary of Lowell; a great grandson, Anthony Magnani. She also leaves many nieces and nephews in Arizona, North Carolina and Ohio.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 11, at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. A funeral Mass celebrating Jennie’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 12, at St. Patrick’s Church, 258 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Rutland. Burial will be private at St. Michael’s Cemetery, Roslindale. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Mass/Metrowest, Inc., 484 Main Street, Suite 360, Worcester, MA 01608 or on-line, www.bbbscm.org .
