WEST BOYLSTON – Joan J. (Duggan) Loughlin, beloved wife of the late Thomas Loughlin, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at CareOne at Millbury, just one day after celebrating her 94th birthday. Born and raised in Clinton, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Josephine (Mega) Duggan.
Joan was a graduate of Clinton High School. She worked for several years as an office manager before she and Tom started their family.
Faith and family were most important to Joan. She was a devoted wife and mother whose most cherished moments were those spent with her family. Joan was involved in all her children’s activities, including serving as a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts for many years.
She was a faithful member of Our Lady of Good Counsel where she taught CCD for many years. Additionally, she was a member of Massachusetts Citizens for Life, volunteering countless hours of her time.
She will be lovingly missed and remembered by her four children including Kevin Loughlin and his wife, Cindy of Rutland, Keith Loughlin of Worcester, Melissa Lindberg of West Boylston and Karen Foley and her husband, John of Shrewsbury; her six grandchildren, Paul Lindberg, Madeline Lindberg, Thomas Loughlin, Shannon Loughlin, Liam Loughlin and Alexandra Foley; and several great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Tom, and her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Constance Connolly.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 22nd at Our Lady of Good Counsel, 111 Worcester Street, West Boylston. Burial will follow at Mount Vernon Cemetery, 35 Worcester Street, West Boylston. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Visitation House, 119 Endicott Street, Worcester, MA 01610.
