Joseph "George" Prucnal
November 14, 1957 — August 12, 2020
RUTLAND – Joseph “George” Prucnal, 62, beloved husband of Karin (Helle) Leonard Prucnal, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester. Born and raised in Rutland, he was a son of the late John and Mary (George) Prucnal.
George worked for Sims Manufacturing Company and later in life was a maintenance worker for Devereaux School and the Worcester Public Schools. He enjoyed sports as a young boy and played football for Pop Warner. He was a member of the Rutland Sportsman’s Club and played softball with the Hubbardston Rod and Gun Club for many years. George and Karin enjoyed many trips to Lake George, one of his favorite places to visit. He also enjoyed the seaside and spending time with his friends.
He will be lovingly missed and remembered by his wife, Karin; his two nephews, Jeffrey Prucnal of Rutland and Christopher Prucnal of Worcester; his great-nephew, Colby Prucnal; and many dear friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, John “Jack” Prucnal.
In keeping with George’s wishes there are no services. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden.
