RUTLAND – Josh Johnson, age 56, passed away peacefully in the hospital on Sunday, June 28, 2026, surrounded by the comfort of his family. Born in New Haven, CT, the son of Carl and Susan (Cashman) Johnson.

Raised in Worcester, he graduated from Burncoat High School with the class of 1988. After high school, he entered the United States Navy where he served his country admirably during the Gulf War for over 4 and a half years. He ended his career in the Navy as a QM3 Quartermaster.

He attended Framingham State College and Illinois State University, where he met the love of his life, Jessica Laufenberg. They quickly fell in love and were married on April 24, 1999.

Following his passion for cars, Josh worked for over 30 years in the automotive parts industry. He loved cars, especially his new Chevrolet Camero and his Harley Davidson. Josh enjoyed the family trips to Eastham and Nauset Beach on Cape Cod. He treasured his time spent with family and close friends, as well as his beloved German Shepherds over the years.

He leaves behind his wife of 27 years, Jessica Johnson; his three children, Ciara, Liam and Ronan Johnson; his parents, Carl and Susan Johnson; a sister, Courtney Vitale; and 3 nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Josh’s family from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Friday, July 3rd, at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden, followed by a memorial service at 12:00 pm at the funeral home.
